One in three young people are growing up without a mentor. This is the “mentoring gap” in San Bernardino County. For young people who face a variety of risk factors that could lead them to become disconnected from school and work\, the effects of mentoring is linked to significant positive outcomes. In this presentation\, participants will have the opportunity to: \n• Hear an overview of the Mentoring Task Force. \n• Receive program information and resources from local youth mentoring programs. \n• Accept the “call to action” by becoming a mentor! \nJoin us on-line with your lunch or snack and learn about mentoring opportunities in our community. \nFor questions\, interpretation services\, or requests for disability-related accommodations\, free of charge\, call (909) 383-9677 (dial 7-1-1 for TTY users).
