We coordinate preventative programs and services to strengthen and promote child\, family\, and community well-being. \nChildren’s Network will be hosting our 38th Annual Conference at the DoubleTree Hotel Ontario Airport on September 18\, 2024. \nThis year’s conference will provide 12 educational workshops to health care professionals\, behavioral health clinicians\, childcare providers\, social workers\, community based organizations\, educators\, foster parents\, law enforcement and safety personnel. \nThis year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Leah Plunkett\, author of the book Sharenthood: Why We Should Think Before We Talk About Our Kids Online. One in three young people are growing up without a mentor. This is the “mentoring gap” in San Bernardino County. For young people who face a variety of risk factors that could lead them to become disconnected from school and work\, the effects of mentoring is linked to significant positive outcomes. In this presentation\, participants will have the opportunity to: \n• Hear an overview of the Mentoring Task Force. \n• Receive program information and resources from local youth mentoring programs. \n• Accept the “call to action” by becoming a mentor! \nJoin us on-line with your lunch or snack and learn about mentoring opportunities in our community. \nFor questions\, interpretation services\, or requests for disability-related accommodations\, free of charge\, call (909) 383-9677 (dial 7-1-1 for TTY users).
