Fathers who are engaged and present make a real difference in their children’s lives. Children who are raised by involved fathers are sixty percent less likely to be suspended or expelled from school, 2x as likely to go to college and find stable employment after high school, seventy-five percent less likely to have a teen birth, and eighty percent less likely to spend time in jail. Fathers who are present in their child’s life are capable caretakers of their young toddlers, support the development of their children, collaborate in their partner’s positive parenting efforts, add to the overall health and wellness of the family, and experience beneficial improvements in their own developments and life.

On behalf of the Inland Empire Father Involvement Coalition (IEFIC), we would like to invite you to this year’s Fatherhood Summit! The Inland Empire Fatherhood Summit will be a celebration of fatherhood in the month of June in efforts to highlight fatherhood awareness as proclaimed by our San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. The IE Fatherhood Summit will showcase fun activities for father and child, guest speaker and opportunity drawings. The virtual summit also aims to inspire, educate, and equip fathers and father-figures to be actively engaged in their children’s lives. We would like to connect fathers and families to the pipeline to success by sharing resources needed to meet current needs.
